The spaces of government and defense include many labor intensive and hazardous tasks that can now be reliably automated with vision guided robotics. Many applications that are currently being used in industry--such as materials handling, part assembly and inspection--could be easily applied to tasks necessary to the government. Braintech is also a member of the Robotics Technology Consortium (RTC), an organization focused on lowering entry barriers for small companies and higher education institutions commencing with the government acquisition process. The RTC provides the United States Department of Defense (DoD) with access to expert industry knowledge and emerging robotic technologies.
