Braintech's dedicated research and development team consists of 25 employees representing over 151 years of technical expertise. Lead by CTO Babak Habibi, Braintech was awarded the 2003 Henry Ford Technology Award for the development of the eVF™ Single Camera 3D technology (SC3D™). The team focuses on developing and deploying leading edge vision-guided robotic software and peripherals for the industrial, consumer and service, and government and defense markets.

    A key ingredient to Braintech's success has been the strong emphasis on undertaking core R&D to develop solutions that provide scalable solutions for a range of challenges. This sets Braintech apart from the many technology firms focused on simply adapting existing solutions to solve individual problems. Braintech's solutions are based on sound fundamentals and provide scalability.

    Keep it Real
    At Braintech we strive to maintain a direct and live link between the lab floor and the factory floor. To "keep it real", our researchers and scientists remain laser focused on the domain problem being solved and receive direct feedback from the field. This contact with the field enables Braintech to develop core technologies that are reliable, and provide a great user experience. The results speak for themselves: mission critical installations that are significantly ahead of the competition.

    Respond to Market & Customer Needs
    Braintech has demonstrated a solid track record of foreseeing and reacting to market and customer needs. The very genesis of the company was in response to an urgent project need in the automotive industry, Ford Motor Company's flagship engine assembly process. The subsequent resourcefulness of the Braintech team not only invented a revolutionary new technology (patented SC3Dª) but delivered this for a software server platform developed to provide scalability for a range of applications (eVisionFactoryª). These experiences have crystallized the responsive, problem focused attitude we possess today.
